F973VO vs. F973AVO – What’s the Difference?

If you have come across both F973VO and F973AVO and wondered why two part numbers exist for what appears to be the same valve, this article is for you. As we update sourcing and transition production, both part numbers may appear on orders, in documentation, or in product references during this period.

At the time of publishing (Feb 2026), F973VO is available for immediate fulfillment and the first production run of F973AVO is wrapping up soon for shipment. Availability is subject to change as production shifts. The V26 Collections Book lists F973AVO only, as F973VO is being phased out. If F973VO appears on an order in the meantime, no action is needed.

There is no functional difference between F973VO and F973AVO. They install the same, perform the same, and use the same cartridges and materials.

Both valves are also offered in non-shared versions. The non-shared versions are F973NSVO and F973ANSVO, and they function the same as each other.

The separate part numbers exist for sourcing and traceability. F973AVO is produced at a different foundry as part of normal supply chain adjustments driven in part by broader manufacturing conditions. Both versions are built to the same specifications and quality standards.
