How do I remove the aerator on the FS308

FS308 Aerator Removal

To replace the FS308 aerator follow these action steps:
  1. Prepare the area: Close the sink drain or place a towel in the basin to catch any small parts or debris that may fall during disassembly.
  2. Grip the faucet tip: Wrap a rubber cloth or a wide rubber band around the very tip of the faucet spout to provide extra friction and protect the finish. You should see the seam where the spout cap connects to the spout.
  3. Unscrew the cap tip: Firmly grip the protected tip and unscrew it by hand.
  4. Remove the old aerator: Once the cap tip is removed, lift the rubber gasket and old aerator out of the spout housing.
  5. Insert the new aerator: Place the new aerator into the tip or spout, ensuring the mesh side faces up. Add the rubber gasket and make sure it is correctly seated on top.
  6. Reattach the tip: Screw the faucet cap tip back onto the spout by hand. Tighten it firmly, but do not overtighten.
  7. Test the flow: Turn on the water to check for leaks and ensure an even stream.
