How to install the diverter cartridge from the Artos F943-VO valve
Critical Installation Steps for the Diverter Cartridge
1. Align the Diverter Cartridge Correctly:
- The diverter cartridge has two alignment pins on the back. These pins must fit securely into the corresponding holes in the valve body.
- Ensure the cartridge is oriented properly before attempting to insert it.
2. Seat the Cartridge Fully:
- Insert the diverter cartridge into the valve body, ensuring the alignment pins are positioned correctly in the slots.
- Use a wrench to gently push the cartridge straight down into the valve body until you hear a click, indicating it is fully seated and properly aligned.
3. Check Alignment:
- After seating, inspect the cartridge to confirm it sits flush with the valve body and is firmly secured by the alignment pins.
4. Secure the Cartridge Nut:
- Once the cartridge is fully seated, thread the securing nut onto the valve body.
- Hand-tighten the nut, then use a wrench to snugly secure it. Do not overtighten, as this could damage the cartridge or valve.
Common Errors to Avoid:
- Failing to Fully Seat the Cartridge: If the cartridge is not seated correctly, tightening the securing nut will cause misalignment and potential damage.
- Forcing the Cartridge: Do not use excessive force. If resistance is felt, stop and verify alignment.
