Design with Restraint and Intention
The process behind the Classic Collection was as thoughtful and hands-on as the products themselves. Over months of development, our in-house team at Artos HQ spent countless hours in the conference room — sketching, debating, and refining ideas. There were moments of disagreement, of pushing back, of revisiting early concepts that didn’t quite feel right. Every handle, every curve, every base was designed from the ground up in 3D software, not pulled from archives or reworked from existing models.
We 3D printed prototypes, held them in our hands, and asked ourselves: does this feel timeless? Does it reflect who we are? The team tested proportions, iterated materials, and even brought in market feedback to ensure we were creating something not only beautiful — but meaningful.

Peter Hill, the founder of Artos, began his journey in the plumbing industry as an apprentice plumber in the UK in the 1980s. That hands-on experience gave him a deep, practical understanding of how plumbing products function — knowledge that continues to inform the design and engineering behind every Artos product.
After emigrating to the United States in 2003 with his family, Peter founded Artos in 2005. His vision was clear: to bring refined European design sensibility and practical function to the U.S. market, without compromise.
